For the second consecutive year, Red Curtain Addict has been named “Best Arts Resource in the Bay Area” by San Francisco Magazine, earning the distinction as part of the publication’s landmark 2026 Best of the Bay celebration.

This year marked the 25th anniversary of Best of the Bay, San Francisco Magazine’s annual recognition of the people, places and experiences helping define the Bay Area. The celebration brought together leaders and standouts from across the region’s culinary, cultural, hospitality, business and creative communities for an evening at The Conservatory at One Sansome.

The scale of the evening reflected the breadth of the Best of the Bay recognition. Celebrated chefs and restaurateurs included Tyler Florence of Miller & Lux and Wayfare Tavern, Mourad Lalou of Aziza, Dana Younkin of Boulevard, Sayat and Laura Ozyilmaz of Dalida and Ray Lee of Akikos, alongside performances from ODC dancers and music from SFJAZZ. The 2026 celebration also benefited the Union Square Foundation and highlighted the people and organizations contributing to the vitality of San Francisco.

Across the broader 2026 Best of the Bay issue, honorees represented many of the institutions and experiences synonymous with Bay Area culture, including SFMOMA, San Francisco Opera, SFJAZZ, San Francisco Symphony, American Conservatory Theater and ODC, alongside standouts spanning restaurants, design, fashion, travel, hospitality and civic life.

To be recognized among that community for a second year carries particular meaning for Red Curtain Addict founders Kari Lincks Coomans and Parker Coomans.

Founded in 2018, Red Curtain Addict was created to make discovering and experiencing the performing arts easier, more approachable and more connected to the way audiences explore culture today. Since then, the platform has evolved beyond traditional arts coverage, bringing together personalized discovery, editorial storytelling, video, social media, broadcast, live experiences and partnerships with arts organizations to help audiences discover what to see, understand why it matters and ultimately experience it for themselves.

That mission feels particularly at home within Best of the Bay. The 2026 honorees demonstrate the extraordinary range of experiences that collectively create the cultural identity of the region, from the restaurants people gather around and the artists they discover to the performances, institutions and destinations that make the Bay Area distinctive.

For Red Curtain Addict, being recognized as an arts resource within that larger ecosystem reinforces the role the company hopes to play: connecting the dots between remarkable artistic work and the audiences who may be waiting to discover it.
