The Pedrito Martinez Group has its roots planted firmly in the Afro-Cuban Rumba tradition and in the bata rhythms and vocal chants of the music of Yoruba and Santeria. Ben Ratliff summed it up aptly for the New York Times calling it, “complex, blenderized Africa-to-the-New-World funk.” Since its formation, the Pedrito Martinez group has developed into an extraordinarily tight and creative unit delighting fans worldwide. Joel and Kevin began their musical career together over 40 years ago in Pleasant Grove, Utah. In 1984 Deseret Book signed AFTERGLOW to a recording contract. They have since recorded 17 albums for Deseret Book, five of which were recorded in England with the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Messages include serving others, dealing with loss, experiencing joy, and finding our way through life’s trials. Afterglow’s warm harmonies and heart-felt emotion enhance everyday living. Afterglow’s new Album ‘Walk with Me’ reflects songs of the heart written and produced to celebrate God’s love for all of His children. This story follows a brother and sister’s adventure through a traditional German village, into a spooky forest, and as they are captured by an evil, hungry witch. The production incorporates the beautiful ballet score composed by the brilliant Claire Cowan. This compelling ballet asks the question: will good triumph over evil? Tutu School’s annual Spring Bravo Bash recital performance! For all the Tutu School performers, family, and friends, please read the following closely to ensure a successful event for our dancers and attendees: All in-class performers will receive ONE (1) ticket for the show, all other family and friends will need to purchase tickets to attend the show. A Promo code will be given to the parent to use to receive their free ticket for their dancer. Parents will need to enter the code into the system prior to ordering their ticket(s) online. All attendees (including your dancer) will require a ticket for the event. Babies (13 months and younger) who sit in laps do not require a ticket. Tickets do not guarantee a seat.
