The Layali Zaman Academy Orchestra presents traditional and contemporary music of North Africa and the Middle East.
With Maestro Adel Eskander, you will be taken on a musical journey that features performances by vocal and instrumental stars from these regions. Every concert is based on the music of legendary composers and singers and spans decades from their identified Golden Age of Music (1950’s – 1970’s) to the present.
This 30-piece orchestra combines traditional Arab world instruments, Qanun, Oud, Nay and hand drums, with Western European instruments to create an exciting evening of music and song. Improvisations on the traditional instruments will transport you in time and space. As for the singing, even if you don’t know the language, we are certain that you will feel and experience the full intent of each song.
We are honored to have super stars, Eman Abdelghani, Vocalist and Maged Sorour, Qanunist, coming from Egypt to join us for this concert.
Maestro Adel Eskander, Master Violinist and founder, is a graduate of the Egyptian based Conservatory of Arabic Music.

Since the inception of this orchestra in 2014, Maestro has included both Arab and non-Arab musicians.
His devotion to music and its capacity to bring cultures together has been at the heart of every performance.
