About the event

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera has returned to its home, Her Majesty’s Theatre London, and tickets are on sale for performance until 13th February 2022.

Experience the thrill of the West End’s most haunting love story, starring double Olivier Award nominee Killian Donnelly as The Phantom, Lucy St. Louis as Christine Daaé and Rhys Whitfield as Raoul. The Phantom Awaits…

Based on Gaston Leroux’s gothic novel of life beneath the stage of the Paris Opera House, the musical first opened at Her Majesty’s Theatre on 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, and has gone on to be one of the most successful theatre productions of all time.

Far beneath the majesty and splendour of the Paris Opera House hides the Phantom, living a shadowy existence. Shamed by his physical appearance and feared by all, he “haunts” the backstage and public areas. Falling in love with a young chorus singer, Christine Daaé, he transforms her into a star. When the Phantom’s love for his beautiful protégée grows so strong that he asks her to spend her life with him in his subterranean kingdom, he is devastated when she is rescued by her lover – and vows revenge.

Andrew Lloyd Webber’s mesmerising score, along with jaw-dropping scenery and breathtaking special effects, magically combine to bring this tragic love story to life each night.

The show has won over 70 major theatre awards, including three Olivier Awards in the West End and seven Tonys on Broadway. It was the winner of the Olivier Audience Award, voted by the public, in the 2016 Laurence Olivier Awards.

The Phantom Of The Opera is currently showing in London, New York, Budapest, Stockholm and on tour in the US.

Now in its 34th year, The Phantom Of The Opera continues to captivate audiences at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London’s West End, after more than 12,000 performances, having become the first stage production to reach worldwide grosses of $6 billion. Worldwide, a staggering 140 million people have seen The Phantom Of The Opera in 35 countries and 160 cities in 15 languages.
