As you grab your morning breakfast and holiday coffee on Thanksgiving Day, make sure to also grab your controller to watch the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade filled with special performances and celebrations! This year’s parade will kick-off with a fun performance by the cast of Funny Girl, back on Broadway for the first time ever and with Lea Michele taking her star turn.  Psssstt…! Have you heard the new cast recording that just released?? Listen to it here!

Other exciting Broadway performances will include a peak of the new production of Some Like It Hot along with A Beautiful Noise: The Neil Diamond Musical and The Lion King that can be seen on NBC’s coverage. Exclusive pre-taped performances of Tony Award-Winning productions Six the Musical and Moulin Rouge! The Musical will be airing on the CBS coverage!

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT!!

We are so excited to announce that a member of the Some Like It Hot cast (to be shared soon!!) will be taking over our @RedCurtainAddict Instagram on Thanksgiving morning to share a Behind the Curtain look of their performance in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! Make sure to follow our channel to get that special coverage and a look behind the scenes.

Our picks for “must-see” solo and group performances are definitely the wonderful Jordin Sparks who will be on the Geoffrey’s Dazzling Dance Party from Toys ‘R’ Us float! Not only was Jordin Sparks the youngest winner of American Idol and an incredible singer and songwriter, she has been in Broadway shows like In the Heights and Waitress

And we can hardly wait to see New Orleans jazz giant, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue on the Celebration Gator from the Louisiana Office of Tourism float! Fun fact: Trombone Shorty (AKA: Troy Andrews) started playing trombone at age four where he performed alongside his family across the bayou in New Orleans… and he hasn’t stopped since.
